My Five Facts:
- I am the middle child of five girls. My older sisters are two years apart and went to the same high school and college together, and were in the same sorority together. My little sisters are twins. It was tough growing up in the middle of two sets of best friends! The first thing people say when they find out I have 4 sisters is ‘Your poor father!’ I think he’s okay with it.
- I spent every summer from age 6 to 19 in Maine: in either Hancock Point, ME, Poland, ME, or Lamoine, ME.
- I have taken lessons for tennis, swimming, diving, gymnastics, dance, sailing and piano and have excelled at none of them.
- I was the pitcher of my junior high softball team for 3 years because I was the only kid who could get the ball over the plate. When we were losing, I would cry on the mound.
- I told my parents at age 6 that I was going to move to New York City while we were here on a trip. The next time I was in NYC was 2 weeks after college graduation when I moved here with a 3 month sublet, no job, no money, and no friends. This June in my second anniversary as a city girl.
*BONUS* When I was 15 I went to Austria for six weeks by myself. I stayed with friends of friends of friends who didn’t speak much English. I was passably fluent in German when I returned but cannot speak a word of it now.
Okay, so I’m sure these people have already been tagged, but maybe not: On the Move Again, Mon’s Appetit, Simple and Divine, Down Home Dieting, and Lighter Portions.

Can I just say how awesome it is to fulfill your childhood dream of living in NYC! I want to visit there so badly and I could have for 5 years when my brother lived there, and never did (smacking self).
Such fun fact to read - I love learning more about fellow bloggers!
I stayed with a family in Austria as part of a homestay program, in 2003 - can’t speak a word of German anymore, haha :0) I was 15 years old back in 2003!! How weird that we were the same ages when we went, haha.
Thanks for the tag. It is so fun to learn more about you! When I was little, it was my dream to live in NYC. I have been there twice and it is such a cool city, I am in love with it.
Becca - I feel the same way about San Francisco! My sister lived there for three years and I could have gone out there, but never did! Ive never even been to the West Coast! (smacks self)
VeggieGirl - What a coincidence! I’m always embarrassed that I never retained any German. Although, it’s not a very pretty language, is it?
