For dinner, we decided to go out again for two reasons: a) I’m going to be stuck in the same four walls for a week or more so I wanted to get out of the apt while I can, and 2) we wanted sushi! And I can’t make sushi.
(Not that I’ve ever tried, although I totally would) I chose sushi for my last solid-food meal because it’s both light and filling, and I love it. We went to a sushi place near us, Matsuri.
We started off with the cucumber wrapped eel roll:
I had two of the rolls.
Then we got the Sushi and Sashimi Plate for Two:
I had the right side of the plate (one of each type of the groups). SOO delicious. Matsuri never disappoints. I’m estimating dinner at 700 calories.
Peter is mopping the apt as I type (love him), which marks the end of our thorough cleaning of the apt. As for the rest of the evening, I’m going to introduce P to Flight of the Concords, try to stay calm, and go to sleep.
I have to report to the hospital at 8:30 AM, so the plan is to wake up at 7:30, take a shower, and take a cab over. I’m not sure how much/how little I’ll be posting over the next two or three days . I may find comfort in posting and post as usual or I may want to sleep and stare at the TV all day. Who knows? But I will try to post when I can. Thanks guys, and wish me luck!

Good luck with the surgery tomorrow, I hope it all goes smoothly and painlessly (which I’m sure it will) Glad you had an enjoyable and relaxing weekend and no pressure to post, just work on recovering quickly
I hope the surgery and recovery goes well! Flight of the Conchords is a really funny show. My boyfriend and I have the first season on DVD and watch it quite frequently. I’ve found that it is sorta of a love/hate sort of thing, some people think it’s funny and love it and others don’t like the type of humor and hate it. Obviously, I love it! I hope Peter enjoys it. Get Well Soon!!!
Good luck with the surgery! I’m sending you good thoughts! Make sure to watch tons of ‘waste of time’ tv that you normally don’t have time for
Gorgeous sushi plate!
BEST OF LUCK with your surgery - it’ll be over before you know it, and then you can relax :0)
Good luck with your surgery this morning!
Good luck with your surgery!
You pics are beautiful, I’m allergic to fish - but this looks very appetizing.

Yay! I see your update and I’m glad to hear the surgery was a success. Feel better and have fun catching up on daytime TV (my favorite part of being home sick).

Hey guys,
I just started reading this blog. What surgery did Kate have?
Kate, hope you have a speedy recovery!
I hope everything went well today and your back up and running soon!
I hope your surgery went well today and that you have a fast and painless recovery!
Best of luck with your surgery and recovery… I look forward to hearing back from you when you can!
Thank you ALL for your kind words! I’m very lucky to have such kind readers.

Brittany - I love it too, and guess what - so does Peter!
RLS - Love that, ‘waste of time tv’ - season 5 of saved by the bell, here I come!
VeggieGirl - Thanks darlin - you’re the best!
Amanda - I’m sorry to hear about your allergy! That plate was displayed beautifully, right?
Jacyln - Definitely the best part of being sick. That plus the couch and ice cream at 2 PM.
Ari - I heart FotC - it took me a while to get into it, but now I’m hooked!
Kristie - Sushi is definitely a staple in my house.
TinaR - Hi, thanks for reading and welcome to WFWS! I had a septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and adenoidectomy. The surgery will improve my breathing, sleeping, exercising, the sound of my voice, and the look of my nose. It was first recommended to me 5 years ago - so this is a long time coming!
Danielle - Your wish is my command!
Again, thank you all so so much for your support. It means so much to me!
