Hey guys,
I’ve spent the better part of today working on getting my new domain (www.winningfriendswithsalad.com) up and running on wordpress.org. Then I enlisted P to help me the second he walked through the door. We’re 85% done - I’ll be glad when this thing is up and running, probably tomorrow or Thursday at the latest. The majority of stuff is done, just alot of clean-up. Thank goodness for my ‘technical adviser’ - I’d be lost without him!
This afternoon I kind of lost track of my calories, but it’s just as well. That breakfast really filled me up - I had very little appetite for the rest of the day. At some point I had some garden vegetable crackers with 2 wedges of Laughing Cow:
And later I had some coconut pudding:
When P came in, he ordered dinner for the two of us. He ordered a grilled cheese and cooked spinach for me:
Plus a vanilla milkshake:
P said he got me the spinach because he said he knew I was ‘missing my vegetables’. ![]()
He’s right about that one - I’ll be happy to get back to normal eating! Night all.

Yum! Your milkshake sounds tasy in this heat, and who can go wrong with a grilled cheese?! Except I have to eat mine with ketchup…ALWAYS! That is really exciting about your new website…you have to pay for that domain name, correct? I’ve thought about making one, but I don’t have the money to spend on the blog and I’m worried I wouldn’t be able to figure out all the technical aspects. Have a great Wednesday! Hope your recovery keeps going as smoothly as it has! I’m sure it helps to have a great assistant bringing you delicious meals! Take care!
Your coconut pudding, cooked spinach, and shake look incredible - total comfort food!! :0)
I love a good grilled cheese.
Glad you’re feeling better! So exciting about your new domain name!
I hope you are doing ok! I have a question!! I know you are not working out right now, but when you do, how long do you wait to work out after you eat? I started working out in the AM now that I am off for the summer and I have noticed I am too full even 2 hours I after breakfast! I work out in the late morning, so I eat first. Maybe I should eat less?
Glidingcalm - Yeah, you do have to pay for it: both the domain and the company that hosts the website. And I’m afraid to admit that it’s actually alot more complicated technically than I expected. If I didn’t have P to help me, I would totally be lost. The nice thing about paying for the domain is that you can add ads to the site, like Blogher and Adsense, so you can make back the money you spend on hosting it.
Ari - who doesn’t??? they are amazing.
Tina - Thank you!! Will be great when I get it up and running!
Tracy - I don’t have a very sensitive stomach, so I can eat right up to the last minute without getting sick during workouts. However, I don’t eat a full meal - only 100 to 200 calories worth. Maybe eat a smaller snack before the workout, and then a large snack/smaller meal after breakfast. That will probably be easier on your stomach.
