  • Big Snack, Little Dinner

    Hey guys,

I had a great dinner plan, but ended up having a really large snack and losing my appetite for dinner. So my great dinner got moved to tomorrow and tonight I just had a salad. For my snack, I tried a new combo: cherry almond cobbler. (sort of). :) I mixed 135g cherries with 2 oz soy milk, 1/4c oatmeal and a tbsp almond butter:

Really good, but ended up being too caloric for a snack. Snack was 280 calories, 42g carbs, 11g fat, and 10g protein.

That snack made me full - but I wanted to eat still! Grr! I’m going to have to come up with a plan to get my mind off the fridge between getting home from work and dinner time. Any ideas?

So for dinner, I just had a serving of the strawberry spinach salad:

Dinner was 244 calories, 28g carbs, 13g fat, and 5g protein.

I’m off to bed! Today was wonderful - truly a day that makes me feel blessed and lucky for my life. The plan is to wake up early for another pre-work workout. Take care!

The between arriving home and dinner time period is the absolute worst for me when it comes to snacking. I always raid the fridge and eat the weirdest combination of whatever decent food and leftovers I see first. And it always ends up being way too much food and often kills my appetite. Hardest habit to kick EVER. I try to force myself to stick to veggies, mainly carrots and mushrooms, but I’m only successful with that a small percentage of the time. Sigh.
