Hey all! I’m high on endorphins today! I woke up early (with my alarm, for once) and considered going back to sleep, but I thought, ‘Kate, you will feel so much better if you work out this morning.’ And oh my goodness, do I ever!! I feel like a million bucks! I came into work and started being uber productive and cheerful - I really feel back to normal! Plus I’m wearing a new cute outfit today - so I’m feeling awesome.

Whoo! Now that I got that out of my system, let me tell you about my morning. As I said, I woke up early for the gym. Before I left the house I had a half an English Muffin with a tbsp PB:

Pre Workout Snack was 175 calories, 20g carbs, 9g fat, and 6g protein.

At the gym, I did treadmill with weights, Cardio Wave, and then the stepmill. I was going to do longer stepmill and some Elliptical to get my usual cardio burn of 400-500 kcals, but my doctor told me to take it easy (plus it was getting late). So I finished off with some abs and went home. Still a great workout - it felt great to be back in the gym - I can’t wait to go back! Cardio Smorgas - 321 calories burned.

After some major productiveness first thing, I had breakfast. I tried a new cereal: Organic Weetabix Crispy Flakes and Fiber:

I wanted to get the Original Weetabix, but I chickened out and got this kind. It was good, but got a little soggy too quickly. I had a cup with a cup fat free milk and a banana:

I also got myself a treat on the way to the office:

    YUM-O! Breakfast was 343 calories, 81g carbs, 3g fat, and 13g protein.

    Have a great day everyone!

well, i was wondering how do you calcuate the calories for each meal? Cos I simply don’t know how to do that.. mind sharing? thanks!

Yeah, I’m curious about how you count cals too. You are always so detailed.
    Thanks :)

Also, where did you get that square world food bar? I would love a bar with sweet potato!

If you thought the Weetabix flakes were soggy, I wouldn’t recommend the original biscuits. They immediately turn to mush when milk is poured on…yuck. But, they are good with yogurt or some nut butter on top!

I’m glad you got to workout and made yourself do it! I love that feeling, yesterday my endorphins were running really high after I exercised and I had only taken a day off, so I can’t imagine how you feel right now! Have a great rest of your day!

I actually prefer that Weetabix cereal, haha; and it’s great for baking cereal squares/bars as well! :0)

Karen and Runeatrepeat - I use http://www.sparkpeople.com to calculate my food’s nutritional values. I really like it, it’s very user friendly.

Runeatrepeat - Re: square bites world food bar, I definitely recommend it - it was great! Westside Market on 15th and 7th.

Meghan - THAT is great info! Thanks!

Ash - Aren’t endorphins the best??

VeggieGirl - Re: baking with Weetabix, Mmm..maybe I’ll try that!
