  • Long Day

    Today was a long day. I’m off to bed as soon as I finish this post. I picked up an afternoon snack at the bodega on the corner before I came home today:

    Snack was 180 calories, 27g carbs, 5g fat, and 10g protein.

    After I finished this I popped in some gum and got busy with a project. No unauthorized snacking for me today! Whoo, go Kate!

    I had a sandwich for dinner; nothing special just tasty and fresh. Honey turkey on rye bread with CSA greens, jack cheese and mustard:

    Yum. :) Dinner was 320 calories, 31g carbs, 9g fat, and 29g protein.

    A few hours later, P and I had a small dessert: 10 raisins and 1/2 a Ghirardelli chocolate square. I love these guys so much - they’re my favorite chocolate by far. :) Loved this combo - tasty like classy Raisinettes - my dad’s favorite!

    Dessert was 44 calories, 7g carbs, 2g fat, and 0g protein.

    For tomorrow: early gym, then early morning breakfast meeting. Have a great night, folks!

    Yum, I love the chocolate/raisin combo! Even better is the chocolate/banana/raisin combo that I’ve been obsessed with lately :-) Congrats on no unauthorized snacking, gum always helps with that!

    I wish I could only eat 1/2 a piece of chocolate. But, I do love that combo.

    Kate, your “unauthorized snacking” made me laugh! I found that it is easier to plan when I am eating my snacks so don’t eat at any other times! I have a question for you about NYC cupcakes. I am visting there on the 4th and I have been to Magnolia and Sugar Sweet Sunshine last year when I was there. I saw you mentioned Billy’s in another post…how does it compare? Do you have a fav cupcake place? Thanks!!!

    Ashley - I’ve never been a gum chewer, but you’re right - it really helped!

    Runeatrepeat - Believe me, I couldn’t eat only 1/2 either usually. But P ate the other half and hid the rest of the bag! :P

    Tracy - Re “unauthorized snacking”, hehe, I’m such a dork! Billy’s is awesome, I definitely recommend - just as good as Magnolia and SSS. To be honest, they’re all amazing - choose the place with the shortest line! :P Magnolia is really hyped up - there’s no reason to have a line around the corner for a $2 cupcake. PS. Arielle at Couch Cubicle is the cupcake expert, I defer to her!
