Work has been nuts today - I feel like I’ve been going, going, going but I actually don’t have much to show for it - grrr! I need to produce this afternoon so I can sleep tonight - I don’t know about you guys, but if I slack all day or don’t do the assignments I set out to do - I go to bed feeling so guilty.

I got a veggie wrap for lunch today that was totally beautiful - grilled veggies, mozzarella cheese, on a sun dried tomato wrap. But I got so caught up in what I was doing at work, that even though I was CONVINCED I took a picture of it - no such picture exists! GRR. I’m so sorry - I must have really spaced. And it was a new lunch too…boo, I was trying to branch out for you guys!

So I had the wrap, a cup of cottage cheese - which I didn’t take the picture of until I realized what had happened, so it’s halfway finished. Sorry again!

I had it plain today because they only had raspberries and I didn’t want raspberries again. So I got these babies:

which will probably last me all afternoon. It’s cherries, round two. I don’t know why I’m so intent on liking cherries, but there you go. I can still take em or leave em, but today I felt like taking them - I love spitting out the pits and they take me so long to eat! Big lunch today - but I’m going to spend the rest of the afternoon finishing it, so it’s okay. Lunch was 715 calories, 94g carbs, 18g fat, and 49g protein.

My boss gave me this beautiful nectarine that he had leftover from a grocery store trip:

So I’m going to eat that sweet baby later. Can’t wait.

Oy, long afternoon of work ahead - then CSA pickup, followed by a workout and bed. I’d rather go to bed right now, is that allowed? :)

Hi Kate. I’ve been reading your blog for a little while and I love the food you eat! And I must tell you, you inspired me to try cherries again because I haven’t had them fresh in, I can’t even remember how long! But I hope you’re feeling as good as new after your surgery!

So nice of your boss to give you the nectarine! So jealous!

    I’m sure the wrap was fantastic–sun-dried tomatoes…mmm…

LOL- I don’t know how many times I’ve intended to take a picture of something I’m eating and then just totally spaced. But the wrap sounds really good!

    Hope work gets less crazy!

Ashley - Thanks, hope your day went well too!

KrisT - You have to have a free Sparkpeople account to track your calories, and you can’t get to the food database without it. CalorieKing lets you access the free food database without an account, but if you want to track with a diary - you have to pay for an account. So it’s a trade-off!

Melissa S. - Thanks for the comment! I’m so glad you’re finding the blog helpful - if you have any ideas for improvement - I’d love to hear them! Thanks for your concern, re: surgery. I’m doing well and feeling (almost) back to normal!

Oatmeal - Hehe, yeah my boss is great! :)

Heather - I have no idea what happened - I could swear up and down that I took that pic!

    - Kate
