  • Hobnobbin’ with Celebs

Tonight was so much fun! Eva and I went to this cute little restaurant called Bar Pitti. Unfortunately it was a lot more crowded than I was expecting, so I was a little grouchy to begin with. A half glass of wine took care of that though. :) But I digress…

I had the other half of my delicious snack ala heaven, Apple Ginger Spice Country Square during my afternoon meeting, Snack was 120 calories, 18g carbs, 5 fat and 3g protein.

During my walk home from work, I had a Luna bar. Delicious, but not oh-my-goodness-what-do-they-put-in-these-things good. :)

Snack was 180 calories, 23g carbs, 6g fat, and 10g protein.

I had planned to go to the gym between work and meeting up with Eva, but I got out of work late. By the time I got home, I was pressed for time and would have to hustle, hustle, hustle to make it to the gym, workout, get back, shower and get to the restaurant. I just didn’t feel like rushing so much - I feel like I’ve been rushing alot lately.

We started out dinner with a bottle of Prosecco:

I had two~ glasses all together: here was my first pour:

I don’t usually go for table bread (usually waste of calories), but look at this bread? Come on! How could I resist?

It’s around this time that this gentleman walked in:

on the left, not SJP. Eva spotted him. Hehe. Love celeb sightings. :)

To start, Eva and I split a salad:

This salad was incredible! Loved, loved, loved it - the cheese was so tasty, and the dressing was so light and flavorful.

For an entree, I went with VeggieGirl’s choice, Taglierini All’empolese: thin pasta with leeks, artichokes, garlic, olive oil & a touch of fresh tomato:

SO.FREAKING.GOOD. Oh my goodness. Loved and savored every bite of this delicious meal. MM!!! I was satisfied to my very core. Just amazing,

In our Prosecco-induced haze, we decided to go across the street to Grom. Eva got a small raspberry/strawberry cup:

I had two classic Grom flavors: crema di Grom and stracciatella. YUM! Here’s Eva stealing my dessert!

We walked across the street to a little park to enjoy our dessert with some good conversation:

What a lovely summer night! Makes me happy to be alive! :)

Off to watch a little TV with my sweet boyfriend then to bed. Got my second C25K run in the AM!

What a lovely evening you had!! And I’m SOOO glad that my dinner suggestion didn’t disappoint - I wouldn’t want someone to eat something unpalatable, haha :0)

Looks like an awesome dinner/night! And gelato-yum!
Leigh-where in Texas are you? I’m in Houston and there’s an awesome gelato place called Paciugo’s here…and they have other Texas locations!

VeggieGirl - It was great - good call!

Arielle - I guess his name is Ron Rifkin, and he was Carrie’ boss at Vogue who hits on her. He’s also on Brothers and Sisters if you like that sort of thing. :)

    hk - :)

Leigh - Not even weird at all. Gelato is amazing.

    Justy - Again, Gelato=amazing.

    - Kate
