  • WFWS at the Beach!

I’ve had such an amazing vacay - it’s been a huge stress reducer - I really needed it!

My little sister and I set out for the beach around 11 AM.  It was a 40 min leisurly walk to the beach - but definitely worth the walk!  To the left of us:

    To the right of us:

We laid out for a while before enjoying lunch in the sand. :)  My little sister packed lunch, so I had no idea what to expect.  She made:

PB&J on Whole Wheat.  And she brought:

Chocolate pudding snack pack!  We were never allowed these things as kids, so it was definitely a treat!  I also had a Pink Lady apple, but I must have been so excited I forgot to take a picture!  During lunch, these seagulls were getting uppity - look how close this guy got:

After that we laid out for a while and chatted.  We got so hot we ended up having to race into the water to cool down.  There were huge waves that we just threw ourselves into - it was so fun!  A couple of them actually tossed me head over heels!  It was so unlike anything I’ve experienced in a long time.  We spent close to an hour in water, and more time in the sand.  We also made dribble castles:

After that, we walked home and  got cleaned up.  I was starving from another 40 min walk and all the running around on the beach.  I had a Fage 0% cup with a tbsp jam:

We went to a local pizza place for dinner.  I got a vegetarian pizza with tuna (for protein).  I had three pieces for dinner (this is a shot of the leftovers):

That’s zucchini, peppers, and eggplant on there.

After that, my little sister and I finished Pirates of the Caribbean.  It was so good!  I want to see the second and third ones now!  We crashed early because we had to get up at 8 AM this morning to drive to see our Grandma and family.  I had 1/2 a nectarine and 3/4 of a 0% Fage cup on the drive there:

My grandma is an excellent cook - so she had carrot pineapple bread waiting for us when we arrived an hour later:

I had 3 slices.  So moist and amazing - she sent me home with 1/3 of a loaf. :D

After visiting with cousins, aunts, uncles, and more cousins, we sat down for lunch.  My grandma made tunafish sandwiches on wheat flax bread and serves chips, but I forgot to get a picture!  Sorry guys.

After that we walked down to the beach to see more cousins and aunts and uncles.  Just beautiful!

    And to the right:

    Mmm.

After saying goodbyes, we heading back to Newport.  I think I’m going to take an earlier train, so I can get home at a good hour.  Hope you’re having a good Sunday!

Looks like you got to enjoy your little vacation! Glad it’s been a stress reducer for ya! :)
Oh, and seagulls are the devil. Ever since I had one poop on me while I was laying out on a beach I can’t stand them. The one in your pic looks like he has an evil eye…they’re dangerous I’m telling you! And they steal food…DEVILS!
