Hey guys
Not surprisingly, I’m feeling a little run down today. My head has been aching and my stomach has been queasy all morning. Most of the office is out today, so I have to stay put here, but I’ve been trying my best to remain calm and spend some time with the company couch - our resident napping ground.
I had the usual for breakfast this morning:
1c shredded wheat, banana and 1c milk. It’s getting a little chillier here, I think when we get back from Cali it will be time to switch back to oatmeal…mmm - can’t wait!
For lunch, I really didn’t want to leave the office and we had leftover pizza…so…
I had a mushroom slice. Which was very good. Since my stomach’s been weird today, I ate it slowly and it really filled me up. I may have something else later in the afternoon, but that’s good enough for now.
I’m supposed to have dinner with Arielle and Betsy tonight. I was totally slow on the uptake and missed Ari’s big news two weeks ago - so we’re going to celebrate with some champagne tonight! We’re going to Counter - what looks good to you guys?
As far as the gym, I think I’m going to take the day off from formal exercise. I’ll still walk a bunch, for sure, but no C25K run or anything at the gym. I need to REST.

Cali? When are you going there?!
NY has some great looking healthy options for restaurants. I need to visit sometime…I’m jealous of all these places you post about! I think I’d go for the Vegetable Tasting Mosaic-love my veggies
Hope you feel better soon-preferably before heading out tonight!
Yeah, I’m not feeling 100% either today, so I know what you’re going through
Hang in there!!
Oooh, enjoy your dinner!! I’d go with either the MARINATED VEGETABLE TERRINE or the CAULIFLOWER “RISOTTO.”
Thanks for getting back to me! Oh Anthropologie. Best place ever.
Oh, and I just realized you live in NYC. Counter sounds awesome. I just thought I’d share one of my favorite vegetarian places there. It’s called Curly’s- it’s on 14th between 1st and 2nd, and it has an awesome brunch deal with alcohol included!
Tough choice… I would go for the panini or the penne pasta with pine nuts. I always pre-look at menus when I go out to eat. Otherwise, I turn into the annoying person at the table who cannot decide and holds everyone else up.
Ohh! Everything looks so good there, I would probably get the panini since I’ve been craving one.
wow! you’re going to dinner with Betsy-the girl who never updates her blog? She sure is lucky!
VEGETABLE B’STEEYA. That sounds amazing. And also, I wish I could go with you guys for the “Dirtiest Martini” or the “13 Inch Cucumber” martini. They both sound phenomenal.
ohhhh…where you going in california? if it’s south i might have suggestions of where to go…for food or fun!
and everything looks good on the menu…i’m sure whatever you pick will be great!
I think the Seitan sounds YUMMY! The Cauliflower Risotto would be my second choice. But of course, you HAVE to get the Root Beer Float Martini!
Rest is best. ENJOY it. And enjoy the celebratory dinner! Champagne sounds lovely
Wow, Counter looks amazing. Make sure you enjoy your rest day, you deserve it!
I love Counter! You’ve gotta try the beignets and the pesto, and a good classic martini
Enjoy your night off and hope dinner is great! Happy (almost) Friday!!
